Nueces County transitioned into the disaster recovery phase today.

Evacuees who were assisted by Nueces County and the City of Robstown returned home Wednesday afternoon. Thank you to the RTA for providing local transportation home.

Padre Bali Park is tentatively scheduled to open on Friday. Newport Pass Road is currently closed due to damage. I.B. Magee Park is closed until further notice.

Debris removal operations are underway. Disposal times and pickup schedule will be announced soon.

Nueces County residents can start registering for FEMA Assistance by calling 1-800-621-3362 or online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov. People that have already registered with FEMA, do not need to do so again.

Nueces County has supplies, and is NOT accepting materials, volunteers, equipment, food or water. The Coastal Bend Disaster Recovery Group is a local 501(c)3 that has been previously established to assist with long term recovery for the region – their website to register your willingness to volunteer or provide materials is www.coastalbendcan.org/cbrdg
