Michael Robinson

Michael Robinson was appointed as the County Purchasing Agent on June 3, 2019 by the Purchasing Board, which consists of three district judges, the county judge and one commissioner.

Mr. Robinson serves as the Procurement Director and oversees the Purchasing Department staff in the performance of duties serving all Nueces County elected and appointed official departments. He previously served as Assistant Purchasing Agent for Nueces County from 2008 - 2019. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Texas Tech University in Business Management with over 25 years of general procurement, contract administration, inventory management and technology purchasing experience in both public and private sectors across a wide variety of commodities and services. He is a member of the Texas Public Purchasing Association (since 2008). In addition, Mr. Robinson serves as the Logistics Section Chief in the Emergency Operations Center for Nueces County.
