Supporting Literacy, Bishop Library Grand Re-Opening

After being closed for several months for renovations, the Bishop Library finally re-opened their doors on December 2016 expanding their floor space to make room for increased shelving and books. A conference room was added, HVAC renovations throughout, energy efficient lighting, windows, new flooring, more computer plugins along with higher speed internet and computers. Thanks to our library staff who applied for a $20,000 Hancher Grant, the County was able to purchase books and DVD/Audio in order to expand the Bishop Collection, Early Literacy Stations and After School Edge Workstations. These resources encourage literacy skills, math, reading, writing, and computer skills.
