Amistad Veterans Memorial Park

This park has gone through several renovations including a Veterans’ Memorial Courtyard which includes a veterans’ monument in honor of all veterans, benches, memorial wall which is the focal point of the courtyard honoring the 32 veterans from the Bishop, Driscoll and Petronila area who died and made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve freedom of our nation. Their names are engraved as an eternal tribute and grouped by the military conflict in which they died, “Never to be Forgotten.” Park upgrades include ADA playground equipment, sidewalks to and from the playground equipment and courtyard, athletic fields (youth baseball, football and soccer), field irrigation system, park sign, paver repairs, landscaping, ADA parking and upgraded park lighting.
