The mobile medical trailer was made possible through a gift from Texas A&M University College Station Colonias Program built by Texas A&M University students specifically to assist in the mission of enhancing the quality of life for residents living in colonias and economically distressed areas of Texas.
The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District will manage and oversee the mobile medical clinic providing invaluable medical services to the rural and underserved areas of Nueces County. The program will focus on screenings, preventative care, education and access to primary care along with the assistance of our community health partners: Amistad Community Health Center, Christus Spohn, Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation, Corpus Christi Medical Center, Del Mar College, South Coastal Area Health Education Center, Texas A&M Health Science Center, Texas A&M University Corpus Christi and Texas A&M University Kingsville. Our transportation partners for healthcare appointments are CCRTA and Real, Inc.
My heartfelt thanks to our community health and transportation partners who have offered to be part of this important mission.
